Would like to see more books from Europa Editions

I just finished reading a fabulous book-Jane Gardam's "The Man in the Hat" which is the wife's point of view of "Old Filth". I've read other wonderful books translated and published by Europa Editions, and I'm quite curious why the only one I know of chosen by Book Browse is "The Elegance of the Hedgehog". I think there must be many members who'd like to read some of these wonderful selections. And we do get a chance to read novelists from other countries who are either unknown here or just not published in the U.S. It's a great house and should be made known to more readers.
Thanks,
Claire

RE: Would like to see more books from Europa Editions

Hi Claire

You raise a good point about the many wonderful books published by independent presses and, in particular, Europa Editions. We've actually covered a number of books from Europa Editions - below is a partial list from the last couple of years - which you can find by searching by title, but currently there isn't a way to search BookBrowse by publisher.

Broken Glass Park
Heliopolis
The Elegance of the Hedgehog
The Man in the Wooden Hat
A Novel Bookstore
Chalcot Crescent
Days of Fear
God on the Rocks
Gourmet Rhapsody
Hygiene and Assassin
Swell
The Companion
Zulu

However, we do have a category for small press titles where you'll find the books that we've featured in detail; and, now that you've raised the topic, we'll give thought to how we might link books by the same publisher - which might not be particularly interesting for broad based publishers but could yield interesting results for some of the more specialist houses like Europa.

Thanks for the question!

Very best

Davina (BookBrowse Editor)
