At the end of the novel, Cassie promises Judy that she is making changes so that she can be present in Kamran’s life. Do you believe her?

RE: Do you believe that Cassie will be able to change her life, as she promises Judy she will at the end of the novel?

I don't think that Cassie will choose to change her life. I felt like she had a very weak character and chose to run away from anything difficult and would always continue to do so. If she can't see the immediate benefit from something, she won't take the high road and will always take the easy way out. Could she possibly change? I think it will take something absolutely earthshattering to change her at this point.

Personally, I don't believe Cassie will change. I really want her to become a better person and a better parent, but I just can't believe it is possible at this point. She is too self-focused and damaged by her own issues.

I think she believes she will change and I am sure we all wish she would but I honestly am not too confident it will happen. I am also sure that Judy is not totally convinced it will either.

I guess it would be possible though probably unlikely. Sometimes people do change if they experience enough pain. She would need a lot of support and encouragement.
