Do you have more than one "home"?

One of the things that occurred to me while reading the book was that while I was pretty happy at home, there were elements that I found I actually wanted to apply to my workplace! I got to thinking about it and I certainly spend more waking hours at my job than anywhere else. What about you? Did you find things you want to apply somewhere other than home?

My home is where my husband and children are. The box that we call a house doesn't matter to me as long as the people I love are with me . I like to move to change my scenery but I make a home wherever we go.

My home is where my family is--my kids and husband. However, home feels most "homey" with them in our home with our things, routines and kindnesses. It is a place that feels like a haven; a place we want to be but what is essential is that we are together maybe less the physical location.

Actually, in the not too distant future, I am going to have 3 homes: one we will be building in place of the one we are living in now, one that used to be a rental that is nearby where we will be living during the week, and one farther away that is a weekend home where we go to get away occasionally. We will be making lots of decisions about our home under construction, and I will try to create cozy, comfortable living for my husband and me in two other places. I think it will be quite a challenge! But what is most important is that we are together in a place that keeps us warm or cool as the case may be.

RE: Do you have more than one "home"?

Until recently, my husband and I lived full time in an RV, traveling the US, Canada and Mexico for 10 years. I always said my home must be in my heart because wherever I was seemed like home. We now have a house we had built about 4 yrs. ago and we spend a month away twice a year. I don't want to live in a place where it snows and is sooooo cold for 5 mos. of the year. Glad we could live wherever we wanted to and do. In that respect, its great getting older and not have to be chasing a job.
