I have never read any of The Camel Club novels before so I cannot compare this novel to the others. I had no difficulty following the plot and it was a page turner. The book had many twists and turns that made it exciting. I do not like novels that are predictable and Hell's Corner kept me guessing throughout the entire book. All of the characters interacted well together and I did not figure out who the villain was until the end. I highly recommend this book.

I enjoyed most of the book and the ghost story theme. There were parts of the book that dragged on, and some of the characters became boring. I was tempted to stop reading but I continued on. The character I liked the best was Martin( who has OCD ) and I was able to understand him. Although he had his problems, he was a decent and funny man. I am happy that I finished the book because there were some twists in the storyline that I did not expect and the ending was bizarre. The book was good if you can get through the boring parts.

I have never read Bram Stoker's Dracula, so I cannot compare Ms. Essex's novel to the original. I felt that the beginning of the novel was a little hard to sink my teeth into maybe because I was not familiar with the characters in the original Dracula story. As the story progressed, I could feel Mina's emotions and her dreams about the Count were vivid. I wish Dracula would have appeared earlier in the story not halfway through. When Mina was forced into the insane asylum and the Count took her away from that dreadful place, I was hooked and I could not put the book down. I was drawn into a world of reincarnation, deceit, Victorian life and romance. There were quite a few erotic scenes that were very distasteful and did not add to the storyline. The book was an interesting read and I learned a little about the history and how people lived in the late 1800's.

I really enjoyed the novel and this was the first book in the series that I had read. The plot was engaging, suspenseful, romantic and there were some twists that made the book interesting. The characters were well developed, the flow was smooth and it was easy to read. I have always been fascinated with the paranormal. So pick up a copy of this great book. You will be not be disappoint

I did not enjoy the book as much as I thought I would. It took me a while to get into the storyline and the characters were not very interesting to me. I am not saying that the novel was bad, but there was something missing and the characters did not come to life. I have never read any of the author's other books so I cannot compare them. I was disappointed with the ending because it was vague.

I enjoyed the book and I was fascinated with the science behind the big waves. I have never surfed but my parents have friends who love the sport. In reading the book, I felt that I was right there with the surfers and I understand now why they are infatuated with "catching the big wave". I will recommend the book to my parents friends who surf. Maybe they will learn a little more about the waves and surfing.

When I first saw the cover of the book, I was drawn into the picture. Just looking at him made me laugh but it also made me think why some people can be so cruel and hurt any animal. I have a cat right now but I love dogs. The book was easy to read and I finished the book rather quickly. I felt that I was sitting next to the author as he was telling the story and Oogy was lying at my feet. If you are an animal lover you will love this book.
