The Leftovers: A Novel
by Tom Perrotta
How would you cope? (7/23/2011)
This book was not at all what I expected...but it was much better! I love the way the author told the story of real people "coping" under extraordinary circumstances.
Reading this book has made me want to read more books by Tom Perrotta. It will stay in my mind a long time. I loved it!
Outlander
by Diana Gabaldon
WOW (3/16/2011)
This book is amazing...what an adventure! This is a very busy time of the year for me and yet I couldn't put the book down. I especially loved the time travel aspect. I am anxious to continue in the series, my only hesitation being the violence. Outlander is very well written and a pleasure to read.
The Girl in the Green Raincoat: A Novel
by Laura Lippman
My first Tess Monaghan book (11/17/2010)
I had never read any Laura Lippman books before and now I wonder why. I loved this book! I was intrigued when I read the description and it did not disappoint. Very well written. As soon as I hit "Submit" I am going to order another Monaghan book!
Bad Boy: An Inspector Banks Novel
by Peter Robinson
Loved this book! (7/9/2010)
I have enjoyed reading this series by Peter Robinson for years. I started with, "In a Dry Season", and that remains my favorite, but "Bad Boy" is excellent. Jaff is a villain whom you really hate, as is The Farmer. DCI Alan Banks is a wonderful character. By the last third of the book I could not stop reading until I turned the final page.
