I enjoyed this book up to a point and then it became confusing. I would certainly give them author another chance....not all books vibe with everyone.

Several years ago I read Reviving Ophelia by Mary Pipher. I still count it as one of the best books I have ever read. When I found that Women Rowing North was available I was thrilled to be able to read and review it. Mary Pipher takes us from the lives of young women to older women and shows us a community of love and understanding that is welcome and energizing. It helps us embrace our best selves and find a certain happiness that we all need. If I could sit down with one author, I would pick Mary. It would be a conversation full of love and absolute honesty. Thank you Mary, for showing all of us how wonderful life is!

Fortunately I began reading Mothers of Sparta on a Friday night. I could not stop reading until the last page was devoured. The honesty and realism of this author's words are mesmerizing and I so identified with her descriptions of love and life. From childhood through adulthood, marriage, children, good times and bad, I found myself rooting for Dawn through every chapter. Her sense of humor is edgy and her spirit is rare. Simply stated, I loved this book!

I loved this book! A little magic, a great friendship and romance that will keep you reading until late in the night. Rachel Monroe moves to a small town named Nowhere, and finds more excitement than she even knew she was looking for. This would be a great read for women of all ages, I found it to be delightful!

Izzy Lane is a divorced mother of one son, Noah. Having recently returned to her childhood home, Izzy fills her free time with blogging, which balloons into something unexpected. When Izzy creates "Mac" in her head and introduces him on her blog, her life goes a little sideways and nothing will be the same again.

I loved Izzy! Once I began reading "The Good Neighbor", it was hard to put down. I would recommend this great read for anyone that would like a light-hearted yet, thoughtful journey into Izzy's world. I think we all have wanted a little excitement in our lives, Izzy just goes further than she should have to make that happen!

Simple word, Simple title. But Ursula Archer blew me right out of the water. This author needs to keep doing what she does best....and that is, write mysteries!
Detective Beatrice and her partner, Florin, investigating crimes of murder and mayhem. Throw in a snarky ex-husband and random body parts, this book will keep you entertained. Have you ever heard of Geocaching? You are about to learn more than you may want to know! I am looking forward to reading Ms. Archers next book.

Surely this can't be the end of Detective Beatrice!

This is one of those books that takes time to absorb and enjoy. I love Helen and Sara...... Ben, not so much. Lots of twists and turns and an unexpected ending. If you have a snowy weekend in front of the fire, this book is a perfect addition!

Niceville is a scary,exhilarating ride! I loved every minute of it! Rainey Teague is one frightening little boy and his world will keep you keep you reading until the wee hours. A bit reminiscent of Dean Koontz in intensity and so entertaining. Carsten Stroud, Hats off to you,I am a new fan!

This was the first of Sandi Kahn Shelton's books I have read, but it is certainly not the last! Jamie's relationship with her son, Arley and the other characters in this book were heartwarming and so very real. I laughed out loud many times and shed a few tears. Some twists and turns that you won't expect, right up until the end, I was up late more than once with this book in my hand! I loved it! I am going straight to Amazon.com to get more of Sandi Kahn Shelton's books!
