Hair today.....
"Gone Tomorrow" ... a truly hair-raising adventure! One of those thrilling novels that keeps you up all night just to get to the end of the story so you can relax. Someone else said it: "It's like a 'Die Hard' movie in prose" and that's it exactly. More graphic than I usually like (hence the 4), but you can't help liking the hero and you cheer for him no matter how violent his justice is. Lee Child's details of the subway trains in New York made me feel like I was back there on the trains again. Adventure #13 for Reacher? I clearly have some catching up to do. Lending this one to my favorite man.

A Good Read
This is the first Jack Reicher novel I have read. And if this is your first you will be happy to know that it does not depend on previous stories to enjoy the novel.
In many suspense novels I am often able to guess the outcome. In this one I really couldn't tell who the bad guys were because everyone seemed to be hiding something. There is one very graphic scene but it was not an overreach for this storyline. It did make me wonder how much of the backstory was based on real events.
While I have not read the previous novels, I am looking forward to the next one since I would expect this character to find new challenges to face and not simply a replay of the last one in different clothes.

Deadly Beauty
I admit I love Jack Reacher. He is a loner and perhaps that might put some readers off but give him a try at least once. This book is one of the best yet from Lee Child. It has everything you want in a mystery. There is action so fast it makes your head spin and characters you won't forget any time soon. Once you get into the story you won't want to put the book down and when you finish I think you'll find that it stays with you for some time.
I would expect that most readers will be older, though certainly young men could enjoy these books as well. I enjoy a hard core thriller myself and perhaps there are other women out there who do as well. Jack Reacher is simply a fascinating character and though Lee Child has written over 14 books now featuring him, the man is never boring. This is a great read.

Gone Tomorrow
In a novel that slams through one hairpin surprise after another, Lee Child unleashes a thriller that spans three decades ... and for Jack Reacher, a man who trusts no one and likes it that way, it’s a mystery with only one answer–the kind that comes when you finally get face-to-face and look your worst enemy in the eye. Another good read!

A good weekend read
This was my first Lee Child book I have read with the Jack Reacher main character. I found it to be an enjoyable read, and a page turner most of the time. I had to adjust to Child's style of shorter sentences and relatively short chapters, but it lends a faster pace to the story line. Occasionally too much description, but overall a fine weekend escape!

Another wild ride from Lee Child!
Gone Tomorrow grabs you from the very beginning with an apparent suicide bomber on a NY subway and takes you on a wild ride. Jack Reacher is one of my favorite characters of suspense, he's the rogue ex-military cop that everyone loves! I will keep reading as long as Child keeps writing! Great book if you like to keep the pages flying.....

Gone Tomorrow
A decent read, not great. I was expecting a book that I absolutely could not put down, and while I found the chapter endings urged me to continue, the tug was not so great that the laundry didn't get done.
