What FUN !
'Original Sin' is the perfect book to take you away, to clear your thoughts, to enjoy, totally excluding your surroundings. Lucy Hamilton, wife of a not too inquisitive husband who adores her, mother of the most handsome toddler on earth.......aka Sally Sin, Agent 26, exceptional spy. What a woman!
How do you follow nine years of intrigue and danger with the life of a stay-at-home mom? Ever vigilant, suspicious, trying to act normal, all the while flashing back to deadly (possibly) assignments. Once a spy, can you ever retire, can you refuse to help when the agency needs you?
Beth McMullen has a sure winner in Sally Sin and I eagerly await more of her adventures.

Motherhood vs. Spy
I really enjoyed this book. It was well written, and I loved how the main character, who was a spy before being a mother, discusses how difficult being a mother is compared to being a spy. I look forward to more Sally Sin novels. Sally is a very compelling character.

Spying in Suburbia
I loved this book and I don't even have kids. I think most young mothers would love this book as well but any female reader will like it. It is the perfect summer read. I found it the perfect mix of suburban life and having a job spying for the country. Made me wonder if our female spies do marry and have kids while still trying to do the job. There are serious parts but overall there is a lot of humor here and you will find yourself laughing out loud at Lucy and with Lucy. I thought she was a wonderful character.
By the time I had finished the first chapter I was saying to myself there has to be another book coming. Lucy is just too enjoyable to be in only one book. In some ways it reminded me of Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum and we all know how successful that series has been.
It might seem strange for a book like this to be discussed in a book club but I think there are aspects here that one could talk about. Most women do work and raise kids at the same time these days but how about those working in jobs that are quite dangerous. Overall though I think it is simply fun to read and fantasize about being a female James Bond.
If you take one book on vacation this summer, take Original Sin. You won't regret it.

Original Sin
I loved this book! Such a great combination of mystery/thriller/chicklit.....and I enjoy all three of these genres so what a treat to have all 3 in one book! I read this book over a weekend..not because it is a short easy read but because I couldn't put it down! I look forward to reading more from Beth McMullen!

Excelllent
This was an awesome read!! Could not put it down. It's the story of an ex-spy turned housewife and mother who gets called back into duty without letting her family know of her past life. It was a great story from the first page. I can only hope that Ms. McMullen plans on keeping this story going. I see many, many stories starring Sally Sin. Don't let this book pass you by!!

I loved it!
Original Sin, by Beth McMulllen is a fast paced page turner with a plucky heroine (Sally Sin) who “has a license to kill and carpool”! The plot is
full of twists, lots of laughs and the characters are complex, well developed, and interestingly real. I couldn’t put it down! And I didn’t see the end coming! I loved it! I can’t wait for Sally’s next adventure. Keep them coming Ms McMullen and congratulations on a great first book!

A Female James Bond Returns
This is a book for the inner Wonder Woman in all of us. A fun read that takes us on a roller coaster ride to the heights of adventure between bouts of domesticity. Sally aka Lucy manages juggling her two identities with finesse and aplomb and we can only look forward to more books in this new series
