This Story Will Not Be Forgotten
I was chilled by the first paragraph, and I was pulled in by the first chapter. The intriguing, detached voice of the narrator keeps the suspense level high and tight in this psychologically intense story. It asks complex questions about what we would do to protect those we love, what we would do to find the connection we need to feel whole and not alone, and what memory is and isn't. A thoroughly satisfying thriller.

A Psychological Thriller that Won't Be Forgotten!
Wendy Walker has written a page turner. "All is Not Forgotten" tells the story of a fifteen year old high school girl and the resultant devastation following her rape. Book clubs will have fiery discussions over this one. What's right and what's wrong won't be black and white.

All Is Not Forgotten
This is a twisty thriller with a most unreliable narrator; and if you enjoy unexpected connections, family drama, and some mystery, you will certainly enjoy this satisfying story! Teenager Jenny Kramer has been brutally violated, but her parents choose to subject her to what is known as "The Treatment," a medical intervention that allows a victim to "forget" the details of a trauma. The mind, however, is a very tricky thing, and this treatment is not without shortcomings. This tale does not belong to Jenny alone. There are several characters in her world who care about her....but they may have secrets of their own. Especially intriguing is the narrator, who wants very much to help Jenny...or does he? I confess to ordering this book because the main character and I share first and last names, but I also found this book to be dark and suspenseful, which is a category now dominated by novels touted as the next Gone Girl. This book stands on its own.

All is Not Forgotten
Wendy Walker's psychological thriller is very compelling with its various narrators, characters and their baggage. Since memory loss, intentional and otherwise, is a major issue in the plot, the reader is left with some questions about what is true and what is being manipulated. The psychiatrist narrator is a particularly interesting voice who seems thoughtful until maybe you are not sure but none of the answers are simple. I thought the story built well but this really isn't a "page turner". The ending was satisfying and not really anticipated. This book will be well received and popular among fans of Girl on A Train and Big Little Lies.

Interesting Journey-Interesting Ending
I read the book in a weekend. It was not quite a "I can't put it down" read, but I definitely wanted to see how it would end. One of the great things about the book was that every time I thought I knew where the author was going with the plot, she changed direction and took us down a new path. The ending was very unexpected. You don't know until the last few pages what the narrator's true role was in the story. The one thing that I had trouble with in reading was the sometimes confusing time shifts. There were times that you weren't sure if an event was taking place during the current day or at a time in the past. The narrator sometimes even jumped into the future and then had to backtrack. I would have liked a little less of that as it was confusing. But overall, I would still recommend this book to anyone who likes the challenge of reading a book and trying to guess where the author is taking you.

Interesting
What I found interesting was the switching back and forth of the narrator. He is a psychologist who helps a rape victim who is a patient. Then he suspects someone he knows. How he plays two these things against each other and what he does is interesting. I even thought that the narrator might be the rapist. What a mess but the author does a good job of keeping everything straight for you. I read it in close to record time and I cannot say that this is because I was going to write a review. A very good book.

A "slow burn" read
I really enjoyed this book but it was not quite the "couldn't put it down" read I had hoped for. I would describe the story as a slow burn, it captures the readers interest and slowly pulls them along with cautious intrigue. The characters are very well developed and the writing style is intriguing. I was at least 30 of the way into the book before I knew who was telling the story, which at the time I found frustrating but in hindsight was rather ingenious.
I understand the movie option rights to the book have already been sold and it will make an excellent movie. In fact, it almost read like a screen play at times.
I definitely recommend the book if you like twists and turns and have a little bit of patience to let the story develop.
