Psychological Twists
I found this book engaging from the start and only more so as we are given glimpses into the psychiatrist's own character. The twists of plot and character behavior were well placed and surprising but believable in retrospect. Nothing was given away in for shadowing so the surprises kept their edge. I would recommend this book for mature readers and book clubs as the characters are well drawn and could provide much for discussion.

All Is Not Forgotten
This is a very intense book with numerous twists and turns. The story is told by a narrator who is unidentified at first but later identified as a psychiatrist. There are several other characters who are relatively hard to keep track of. A young girl is brutally raped. The psychiatrist plays puppet master while the identity of the rapist is being sought. The story starts slowly but rapidly picks up pace. I had a hard time putting the book down. Thanks for the advanced copy.

Give it Time
When I first started this book I thought it was a little difficult to figure out the role of the narrator within the story, and the relationship to the main characters. All of that is answered in time, so stick with it. As the reader you understand that this story revolves around a horrible experience and I believe the author does a good job of creating empathy for the characters and the role they play. This is not a book to read over time, but for those long weekends you can devote to reading.

All Is Not Forgotten
Wendy Walker has broken new ground in this psychological thriller. A young girl is raped and then given a controversial new drug to erase or at least minimize the memory of the horrific event.
The fall-out from the incident and its aftermath affects not only her family, but the community in which she lives.
This book kept me off balance the entire time I was reading it - I couldn't get a handle on what was happening or what might happen. Extremely well-written and suspenseful. I liked it very much.

Memories
Normally when I read a book and am not engaged by page 50, I quit reading. I was not enjoying this book - I didn't like the way the story was told by the unnamed narrator. I am REALLY glad that I gave this book a few more pages because once I found out who the narrator really was, things all started to fall into place. This was the intriguing story about trying to erase people's memories so that they don't remember a traumatic event - in this case it was Jenny who had been brutally raped. Her mother wanted the drugs used on her so that she would forget the rape and go on with her life. Her father wasn't convinced that they should do this but he deferred to his wife. So the drug is administered and Jenny loses her memory of the rape but even though the memory is erased, the feeling caused by the rape are never totally gone. This is Jenny's store but so much more. I thought that this book was a real page turner and once I got into it, I couldn't put it down.
(Note- be aware that there are some brutal rape scenes in this book.)

All is Not Forgotten: A Psychological Thriller
My educational background is in clinical psychology, so I found the book's premise about memory consolidation and recovery very interesting. The book begins with the brutal rape of a teenage girl, who receives an experimental drug therapy to "erase" her memory of the traumatic event. However, she is left with the "body memory" and underlying emotions of what happened to her and is resolved to recover her suppressed memory in order to bring her attacker to justice. The book's narrator, an erudite and eloquent, if not somewhat creepy, psychiatrist has his own motives for working with this patient. If you enjoy psychological thrillers with lots of plot twists and turns and a few "red herrings" thrown in along the way, you will undoubtedly enjoy this novel by Wendy Walker.

A novel about how far father will go to protect his son.
A psychiatrist becomes involved in the recovery of a rape victim and her family. In the course of the treatment, a memory recovery treatment,he realizes that suspicion could fall on his son. The father goes to great lengths to protect his son.
