Hilary A. Hallett Biography

Hilary Hallett was born in Alton, Illinois, grew up in St. Louis and has spent most of her adult life in New York City. After attending the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU she worked briefly in film production before entering graduate school to study history. Her first book, Go West Young Women! grew out of her interest in understanding the cultural significance of the "Fatty" Arbuckle Scandal of 1921. Hilary teaches in the history department at Columbia University.
