Background:

The earliest recorded use of this expression is from 1915: How does dat grab you?

It was popularized by Nancy Sandra Sinatra in 1966. Nancy (b.1940) is the eldest daughter of Frank and Nancy (Barbato) Sinatra. She had a string of hits starting with These Boots are Made for Walkin' in 1966, followed by How Does That Grab You, Darlin'? and Sugar Town, the same year.
