BookBrowse Awarded Platinum in the Modern Library Awards

BookBrowse for Libraries Platinum Winner, 2024 Modern Library Awards BookBrowse is proud to announce that it has once again received a Platinum Award in the 2024 Modern Library Awards for its BookBrowse for Libraries resource, which enables libraries to provide all their patrons full access to all BookBrowse's book discovery resources.

The MLAs are judged by librarians to recognize the top products and services in the library industry on five criteria: quality, functionality, service, comparison to other similar products, and overall satisfaction.

Judging librarians commented:

  • "Great self-guided readers advisory tool, especially for patrons who like to explore authors and genres."
  • "Their love of books, and their willingness to assist libraries is truly appreciated."
  • "It serves not only as a tool for reader's advisory, but is current and user-friendly."
  • "I run the book club at our library and have personally used this website for discussion questions and to find books that other book clubs and readers have used. Great product!"
Nick Stager, publisher of BookBrowse, commented, "Over the past several years we have been honored to receive the Platinum MLA award for BookBrowse for Libraries. As the MLA award is judged by real users, it is wonderful to see our strong commitment to libraries and their patrons being recognized, and it reinforces out commitment to provide a high quality and valued service to library users."

About the Modern Library Awards
The Modern Library Awards (MLAs) is a program that recognizes excellence in products and services for libraries. Entries are judged by LibraryWorks readers and webinar attendees — approximately 80,000 librarians in public, academic, K-12, and special libraries — who evaluate each submission based on a scale of 1-10. Each judge must have experience with the product or service rated, and each participating vendor also must provide four references from library users for each entry.
