Rise and Shine
by Anna Quindlen
Another great Anna Quindlen book(10/11/2006)
Thoroughly enjoyed this book about the relationship between sisters after one of them ends up in hot water and how it affects the rest of her family. I would recommend this book very highly. It would be a great book club pick.
This was a very good book. A real page turner. I enjoyed the devleopment of the relationship between Emilia and William. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys books that delve into relationships. The stepmother/stepchild was very interesting to read about.
Birds Without Wings
by Louis de Bernieres
Good story but maybe a little too long(4/14/2005)
I really enjoyed this book. I liked that each chapter was a little story about the various characters in the book (and there are many). My only complaint was that it did get a little long and tedious especially towards the end. I had to keep looking towards the beginning of …more the book to refresh my memory on characters. But overall worth the read, and especially enjoyable if you like historical fiction.(less)
