Inkheart

I LOVE INKHEART (10/16/2005)
I read Inkheart last spring while on a plane trip back from Arkansas. I had read Thief Lord, so when I saw Inkheart in the airport bookstore, I begged my mom to buy it for me and read it going halfway across the country. I didn't stop until I finished. Let me tell you- Inkheart is, in my opinion, Cornelia Funke's BEST book to date (with Dragon Rider in a close second- kudos to Twigleg!). The plot is compelling and uniquely original, and the characters are wonderfully crafted (especially Dustfinger- ha ha, I'm a big fan of his). I know some people think that the story drags itself out in some places, but I think that it adds to the suspense and makes the story more engrossing. Plus, the longer the story, the more time you'll have to enjoy it, right? I highly reccomend this book to all fantasy lovers. Inkheart is above and beyond any expectations. You will not be disappointed!
