Walk Two Moons

walk two moons (5/19/2006)
Sal tells the story of Phoebe Winterbottom on a trip to entertain her wild grandparents. AS the story unwinds she learns a lot about herself. Throughout the story of Phoebe, they find odd massages on their doorstep, a lunatic, and Salamanca get her 1st taste at love. When Sal isn't telling the story of her friend, she reveals her past, little by little.
Within the book, Sal learns what it means to be a good friend when times get tough and with helping phoebe with her problems she helps herself with her own problems. I,personaly, learned the meaning of all the doorstep messages and took them all to heart. my favorite of the messages was "you can't keep the birds of sadness from flying over your head, but you can keep them from nesting in your hair."
I would recomend this book for people of all ages, but i would especially recomend it for people who have lost someone because it helps teach how the keep the birds of sadness out of your hair.

Walk Two Moons (5/19/2006)
I have recently read the book Walk Two Moons. It's about a girl named Sal who is going throw some hard times in her life, and is trying to figure them out. She has to deal with her mothers death, her best friend Phoebe, and the lunitic. Sal learns how to walk in some one elses moccasins. She also learns ho to deal with her emotions even without her mother. In this book I have learned a few things too. I learned not to, "Judge a man until you've walked two moons in his moccasins." My favorite part would be,as Sal tells the story of Phoebe to Gramps and Grams. I would reccomend this book to kids and adults that are looking for a good learning experiance. It not only is great, but Sharon Creech, the author, throws some twists in the story to make it even more interesting.

Walk Two Moons (5/19/2006)
Salamanca Hiddle, a young teen, is on the way to Lewiston, Idaho to see her mother, who had left Salamanca and her father a year before. As they're driving, Salamanca tells the story of Pheobe Winterbottom and their experience together. As she tells Pheobe's story, Salamanca starts discovering her own story.
Throughout the novel, Salamanca learns a lot about herself and life in general. She learns not to take the faulting for her mothers disappearance, and she also learns not to judge people before you know them. From the book, I learned that you should not always blame yourself for what happens in life, and to not judge people because you do not always know the situation that they're in.
"Walk Two Moons" is full of emotion and mystery. I recommend this book to young teenagers. I think that you can learn a lot from this book and overall, "Walk Two Moons" is a very enjoyable book.

Walk Two Moons (5/19/2006)
Walk Two Moons is a book about a girl named Salamanca Tree Hiddle. Sal is on a trip with her grandparents to see her mother who went away when Sal was little. On the trip Sal tells the story of her friend Phoebe from Euclid. While telling Phoebe's story, she learns her own.
I think Sal learned to respect everyone around her. I have also gained more respect for all my family and friends. This book is part of a great learning experience.
My favorite part of the book was when Sal and Ben kissed. I thought it was really cute that they had tried for so long, but they kept missing. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes shocking yet touching endings.
