Ida B: and Her Plans to Maximize Fun, Avoid Disaster, and (Possibly) Save the World
by Katherine Hannigan
THIS BOOK WAS THE BEST BOOK EVER! (10/18/2006)
Thump. Ida B Applewood jumped out of the tree. Whoa!!! This is not your property! Get out! NOW!!! These are only some of the words that came out of Ida B’s mouth when she jumped out at Claire and her little brother. Katherine Hannigan wrote Ida B so you will never forget it.
Ida B is about a nine year old girl who has been home schooled her whole life. One day Ida B’s mother was diagnosed with cancer. She got very sick and Ida B had to go to a public school. Ernest B. Lawson Elementary School. A girl name Claire asked her if she wanted to play with her but she said “No Thanks” every single day.
Ida B has an orchard and it has a lot of trees in it. She climbs up them and sits on ones of their branches and talks to them with feelings. She goes to the orchard whenever she is sad or wants to tell somebody something. She also talks to a brook and the brook blabs on and on.
