A Child Called It: One Child's Courage to Survive
by Dave Pelzer
a good book gone to the greatest!!!.... (2/28/2007)
This book has taught me a lot about child abuse. The stuff that people say about this book was always interesting but now that I can actually read the book and write my own review about it, it makes me think about it. The stories that this little boy goes through is harder than going through life. It is a heartbreaker but a very, very strong book with a very strong point. The first chapter make me think a lot about how his moms temper is and why she starves and beats him. When I got to the end of chapter 1, it made me wonder ,"what if that was my life?" I just couldn't believe that his very own mom would stab him in his stomach. That's not a mother to me. And the day when he forgot his lunch in the car she called him and was so nice to him that she said, "see you later, have a good day." I couldn't believe it. This book makes me so sad about what had happen and what made me think about this book. it makes me wonder more and more. what if my mom did this, what if i never got to eat, what if i got beat, what if, what if, what if? well this book has a very good, strong point and in my point-of-view, this books deserves more than just 'oh it was a really good book'.It should get like something so outstanding that I don't know what to give it. Well if you don't want to read this book it is your loss, but if you have and you think its dumb or something like that, than I don't know what you have been reading. This book has been the greatest book that I have ever read. if you really want a good book to read than your days of searching for a great book is over. Because here it is. This is the greatest strongest book you will ever read. oh and don't forget to read the sequal, "THE LOST BOY."
