I thought that this book was well written and an extraordinary look into the treatment of those with disabilities in the mid twentieth century. I found it to be compelling and, being that I love symbolism within texts, I loved the imagery of photographs to hold time at a …more standstill. I highly recommend this book and I want to one day incorporate it into my high school teaching syllabus. (less)
