This book is awesome!! Its so sad to hear the struggling and embarrassment and harassement by his parents not to mention the school kids that made fun of him. But the second worst person of all in this book is the dad. He just stands there acting as if nothing is wrong …more promising that him and the boy will run away but never did. And what's really messed up is how much hatred the mom holds for David. I just don't understand how someone can be so cruel. Im so very thankful for my parents I'm 13 yrs.old and I really get this book (less)
