Into The Wild
by Jon Krakauer
it's a great novel (10/30/2008)
This book is great. After watching some information on the Oprah Winfrey on my TV, I decided to study this novel and analyzed characteristics of Chris and why he decides to leave his parents to live off the land in Alaska. Chris has to satisfy his needs of safety and security needs, love and belongingness needs, self-esteem needs, and the last one is the self-actualization needs. He is able to fulfill those all his needs which are emerge caused by lack off love from his parents since his parents are so busy with their jobs. I recommend this book. By reading this novel, you will get better understanding why Chris is so motivated to reach Alaska and living off the country there though he finds a lot of troubles.
