The Secret Keeper
by Paul Harris
Exciting Story (3/10/2009)
I enjoyed this book. It caught my interest from the beginning and didn't let go. I could tell the author, who is also a journalist, was very knowledgeable about the location and people. I recommend this book to those who enjoy a fast paced thriller or story of intrigue.
How Far Is the Ocean from Here: A Novel
by Amy Shearn
Interesting Book (6/5/2008)
How Far Is The Ocean From Here was a different, yet interesting read. Susannah, a somewhat lost and impulsive young surrogate mother, flees to Thunder Lodge to contemplate her situation. There, she meets a cast of offbeat and quirky characters that added plenty of humor and took the story into interesting directions. I can't say I truly liked Susannah. There were times when her actions baffled me. But I do think the author did a good job with this story. I'll keep an eye out for her next novel.
Killer Heat
by Linda Fairstein
Courtroom Dram & Police Procedural (3/10/2008)
This was my first Linda Fairstein book, but I found it fairly easy to catch on to the back story of the main characters. The murder mystery held my interest and kept me guessing to the end. If you enjoy a very straightforward courtroom drama and police procedural that is fast paced and easy to read, I think you will enjoy this one.
