The Most Dangerous Thing
by Laura Lippman
Good Summer Read (8/2/2011)
I thought this book was very fast paced. It was a little hard to follow at first because of all the time jumping it did. You'd be in the present in one chapter and then in the past in another, but once you figured out what was what, it was an awesome read. The ending came out of nowhere, you think you know where the story is headed but LIppman does a complete 180 and changes it. That is what I love the most of all her books!! Would highly recommend!!
Heat Wave: A Novel
by Nancy Thayer
Great Beach Read (5/3/2011)
This book was fantastic - a great, fun, fast read. You fall in love with the characters and feel like you can really know these women in real life. Will certainly have to check out the other books of Nancy Thayer. I think I may have found a new favorite author!
Original Sin: A Sally Sin Adventure
by Beth Mcmullen
Excelllent (2/8/2011)
This was an awesome read!! Could not put it down. It's the story of an ex-spy turned housewife and mother who gets called back into duty without letting her family know of her past life. It was a great story from the first page. I can only hope that Ms. McMullen plans on keeping this story going. I see many, many stories starring Sally Sin. Don't let this book pass you by!!
Gone Tomorrow: A Jack Reacher Novel #13
by Lee Child
WOW!! (10/22/2010)
This is my first Jack Reacher book and let me tell you I now have a favorite author and will be heading over to my library to check out all the Jack Reacher books. I know that this is the 13th Reacher book that Lee Child has written but you really wouldn't know it. Sure there is some history of Reacher's that I am a bit confused on, but trust me this will have you hooked from page 1. If you are a James Patterson fan then you will for sure love Lee Child!!! I can not give any more praise on how much I love this book.
An Eagle Named Freedom: My True Story of a Remarkable Friendship
by Jeff Guidry
Great Read (5/18/2010)
When I first received this book I wasn't sure it would be my cup of tea, but I gave it a try and lo and behold had the whole thing read in one afternoon. This is an incredible story of animals and how they impact humans. I know am looking in to volunteering at my local animal shelter because of this book. I think that anyone who is an animal lover and has the faith that animals can reflect on human behavior then this is the book for you. I am recommending it to everyone that I know. I will forever look at animals differently now because of this fantastic book.
