Gone Tomorrow: A Jack Reacher Novel #13
by Lee Child
Gone Tomorrow - gone on too long (10/22/2010)
First know that Gone Tomorrow is the first Lee Child book I have read. It another Child book that features Jack Reacher - a homeless retired military police officer. While I found the context somewhat unbelievable, the plot and the writing was good enough to keep me reading to the end. If it was 50-100 pages shorter, I would have been a happier reader.
The False Friend
by Myla Goldberg
A good read (8/12/2010)
'The False Friend' is a well written book. The author's use of language is wonderful; the story is interesting. I rated the book "good" because I found the main character's rapport with her parents unrealistic - although that may be a style choice by the author. It would be a very good read for a book club as it will generate heated discussions.
