My Jane Austen Summer: A Season in Mansfield Park
by Cindy Jones
Very disappointed. (3/9/2011)
My Jane Austen Summer was not a book that I would recommend to someone. The main character lived too much in Jane Austen's "world". Dialogue was too imaginary. Author's main character compared real people situations to situation or people in Jane's world. Not enjoyable to me. The title attracted me, because I am a Jane Austen fan. I was disappointed.
Agent X: A Novel
by Noah Boyd
Agent X (1/7/2011)
I enjoyed reading Agent X. I rated it 'good' because I am not a big reader of books with a spy/espionage theme, however, I think fans of spy thrillers will really enjoy this book. The main character, Vail, is very likeable. I would recommend this book to friends.
Gone Tomorrow: A Jack Reacher Novel #13
by Lee Child
Gone Tomorrow by Lee Child (10/12/2010)
"Gone Tomorrow" was my 1st Reacher novel. It won't be my last. Reacher, retired military, is the ultimate fighting machine. He reminded me of an older version of the "Bourne" character. The plot elements involving government's use of the Patriot Act hint at what all Americans fear, losing individual rights. Reacher is tough and fearless. If I needed protection, I would want him on my side.
