Low Town: A Novel
by Daniel Polansky
A great read! Daniel Polansky I am a fan! (7/2/2011)
Daniel Polansky has created a dark, gritty place filled with demons, magic, murder and treachery. He also creates characters; some menacing some complicated; all interesting and multilayerd. You care about the central characters and want them to rise above it all. I hopemore

Gone Tomorrow (10/7/2010)
I enjoyed this book. The first 3 chapters reeled me in and then I had to read it through to the end. Lee Child's Reacher is a wonderful character and I want to read more. I loved the easy first person dialog. I felt like I was there with Reacher. Enjoyable easy read.
The Ghost of Milagro Creek

Original a story that lingers long after reading. (7/6/2010)
This is one of those books that at first seems confusing and difficult to follow. Then as I read on the story wove an amazing tapestry through character, culture and the mixture of languages This book grabs hold and takes you on along with it. Great story.
An Eagle Named Freedom: My True Story of a Remarkable Friendship
by Jeff Guidry
Something special here (5/19/2010)
This is a book from the heart, both from the author and all the creatures with which he built connections. Freedom not only describes the beautiful eagle he rescued but the name Freedom define the unconditional love between Jeff Guidry and Freedom. A truly inspirational book.
The Man From Saigon: A Novel
by Marti Leimbach
This book does not ring true (2/14/2010)
I was intrigued when I picked up this novel. Vietnam war, female correspondent, held captive by the enemy. Unfortunately this book missed the mark. Characters were one dimensional.
