Wishin' and Hopin': A Christmas Story
by Wally Lamb
A Funny Trip Down Memory Lane (4/12/2012)
Any child of the sixties will remember the corny jokes and childish behaviors of this 5th grade boy in the Catholic School System. I laughed out loud at several of the unexpected turns of one semester in his classroom, his introduction to the new French teacher and a new Russian student. Very entertaining and light reading to spark an evening or two.

Shouldn't A Discovery of Witches Be a Witch Story (3/7/2012)
If you are looking for a great witch read this might be a pass, but as a vampire story laced with historical accuracy and futuristic DNA research, it is very well done. I say four stars overall (or maybe four moons to honor fellow witches), deducting just one for the misleading title. Have a dictionary handy; some of the terms are not self described.
