The White Forest: A Novel
by Adam McOmber
A Gothic Romance! (8/16/2012)
I loved the character of Jane Silverlake and was fascinated by her strange powers. She is, at turns, sympathetic and frightening. Her relationship with Maddy and Nathan was equally interesting. Adam McOmber's depiction of Victorian London was just slightly to the left of reality...wonderfully strange and engrossing.
The Wind Through the Keyhole: A Dark Tower Novel
by Stephen King
Another Dark Tower! (8/16/2012)
I thought it was a wonderful addition to the Dark Tower legacy. So much fun to see Roland and the others on another adventure. I'm hoping Stephen King will do even more!
Gone Girl: A Novel
by Gillian Flynn
A great read! (8/16/2012)
Gone Girl is both a work of literary fiction and a page turner at the same time. It reminded me of the work of Patricia Highsmith. I feel like it could be a modern day Hitchcock film. Loved every page.
