As with every other novel by this great author, I was hooking from the beginning. Character development, plot and story line are on target. The ending wasn't as developed as would have hoped, but don't let deter you from picking up this book!
Afterwards: A Novel

I found this book very easy to get into right from the beginning. The characters are well developed and the plot kept my attention. Although I found the ending to be predictable, it will be a good book club pick as there are a few twists and good conversation issues.
A Trick of the Light: Armand Gamache Series #7

I haven't read any books by Louise Penny, but after reading A Trick of Light I will look for more of her books. I like mysteries and this book was exactly what I was looking for. I can usually predict the outcome of a story, but was pleasantly surprised that I didn't figure the ending out until the end...the way it's supposed to be!
The Sweetness of Tears: A Novel

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. A great mix how one's culture defines them. The storyline kept me interested, as well as the characters themselves. There were some moments though when I had to go back to see which character was narrating. I will definitely be recommending this book to my friends.
