Well written account of the tragedy of the sinking of the Lusitania. Most people know all about the Titanic but little or nothing about the Lusitania. This book may well change that! An engrossing look at the time period, people, and events surrounding the sinking of the Lusitania. A great nonfiction read with a fiction feel. I recommend this book to anyone interested in history or just a wanting to read a great story. I will definitely recommend it at my library! Darshell Librarian RI

I loved this book and cannot wait for the next one! This is the story of Benfu, Calli, and the abandoned girls they have taken in over the years. It is beautifully written and will steal your heart from the start. Inspired by a true story the book starts during China's cultural revolution then fast forwards to modern China. You will be caught up in the trials and tribulations of Benfu's life as he struggles to make a comfortable life for his family. An engaging look at modern day China and its' cultural and economic differences that resulted from the cultural revolution. But also a heart warming drama and love story all rolled into one. I highly recommend this book!

"The Laws of Gravity" is a heart-wrenching tale that will capture you from word one. On one side a young mother trying to stay alive and on the other a relative trying to do what he thinks is right for his family. Courtroom melodrama at its best! Ms. Rosenberg draws you in and doesn't let go. If you like Jodi Picoult, this one is definitely for you. Can't wait to see what she comes up with next.

This book is a good read. It is very well researched. The facts and history throughout the book are interesting and engaging. It is not dense or boring at all. The race is thrilling and you feel your self rooting for your fave to win. I would recommend this as a book club selection or just as a good read for yourself. It's history that reads like fiction. A great pick for the upcoming women's history month!
