Auntie Poldi and the Sicilian Lions
by Mario Giordano
Auntie Poldi and the Sicilian Lions (1/9/2018)
This was a fun read, not an overly heavy mystery. Auntie Poldi is bold, reckless, and stubborn, which makes her a thoroughly delightful character to follow. It will appeal to fans of The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency.
The Quick

The Quick (5/27/2014)
This was a very interesting read. It was well-written and kept me guessing about what was going to happen next.
Doing Harm
by Kelly Parsons
Doing Harm (12/18/2013)
This was a great book. It had just enough medical terminology in it to make it real without having so much that it would lose the average reader. The characters were believable and the plot kept me reading to see what was going to happen next. Very enjoyable.
The Affairs of Others
by Amy Grace Loyd
The Affairs of Others by Amy Grace Loyd (8/5/2013)
The lackluster plot in this book was really disappointing. Several promising threads were brought up, but nothing ever developed, or things inexplicably resolved themselves. The end just kind of glided by while I was still waiting for something to happen. While it had the makings of a promising story, it was not at all a satisfying read.
