I found this book to be different but good. Lucy Lobdell was very brave and independent running away from her toddler daughter seeking work disguised as a man only to receive better pay.She became comfortable in her new role and new sexuality. This is a wonderful book …more about love and devotion between Juliet and her nurse Angelica who is more of a mother to her than Lady Cappeletti. It also has jousting, rivalry, feasts and suspense. If you liked Pillars of the Earth and World Without End, you will surely enjoy Juliet's Nurse. It is a wonder read. (less)
