The Opposite of Everyone
by Joshilyn Jackson
Another Winner (12/20/2015)
In Joshilyn Jackson's new book "The Opposite Of Everyone" we find main character, Paula Vauss, on a journey of unintended self discovery...Paula is a hard nosed divorce attorney with a very tough outer shell...As the story progresses we slowly peel back the layers of this personality and discover what makes her who she is..This story will not disappoint the many Joshilyn Jackson fans of which I am one. Joshilyn's use of the English language is delightful as always. This book is sure to be another hit and a wonderful wintertime read..
How to Be a Good Wife
by Emma Chapman
What is happening to Marta? (9/21/2013)
This is not a feel-good novel....but it is a very grabbing psychological thriller that keeps you guessing throughout..I found myself wondering if somehow Hector was to blame for the eerie things happening to her of if she was descending into a form of midlife madness..good first novel!
The Good Luck Girls of Shipwreck Lane
by Kelly Harms
The Good Luck Girls of Shipwreck Lane (6/30/2013)
This is the perfect summer beach read..not too light with well developed characters...Kelly harms "Good Luck Girls of Shipwreck Lane" reminded me of reading Jennifer Weiner's " Good In Bed" one wonderful summer.. I was thinking about the good luck girls even when I put the book down. Enjoy!
Cloudland: A Crime Novel
by Joseph Olshan
Cloudland (3/23/2012)
I enjoyed Cloudland very much..Mr. Olshan transported me to a relatively isolated rural Vermont area where a murder victim is discovered as the snow slowly melts with the season change.. I was instantly taken in by the writing style. The main character is Catherine Winslow and she is the person who discovers the body. She lives alone in that rural area. The tension builds as Catherine begins to piece together clues...This psychological thriller will appeal to men and women who enjoy an involved, more literary work.
