This novel grabbed my attention immediately. The story is well-written and I like the authors writing style. Somewhere near the middle of the book, it lost its pace for me. Suddenly, it seemed to plod along until close to the end when the pacing picked back up. I felt likemore

Very well-written novel, but not nearly as light-hearted and humorous as touted by the publisher. It explores some very serious issues.... divorce, blended families, homosexuality to name a few. I am glad that I read it, but expected a very different funny story!

Loved this book- it was well written and explored the life of a young girl who couldn't descend the stairs alone one day until the next day she was the Queen of England. She was young and inexperienced but soon learned the ways of the Court. great reading that makes memore
