I write this review through eyes that are still blurry with tears. This memoir was in incredible, emotional roller coaster that I could not put down. I had to know what would happen to Gracie and to their family. I became fully vested in their story, wanting to will the …more outcome in a certain way, knowing that this was not a work of fiction. I was reminded of the strength and innate sweetness all children possess, as well as the importance of family and friends as a support system. I applaud Ms. Harpham for sharing her story, and her family, with readers everywhere. (less)
