The French Girl
by Lexie Elliott
New Mystery (10/6/2017)
Who doesn't love the smell of a new mystery? The French Girl had me captivated from page one. I feel like it was sort of haunting me to finish it every time I looked at it! This is coming from a person who's life has been so busy the last couple months that I haven't even finished a book. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a new mystery to fill the void of The Girl on the Train or other similar books. I really enjoyed this book.
Frank & Ava: In Love and War
by John Brady
History of Hollywood Love (8/16/2015)
I love the history of this book. I have always been intrigued by old Hollywood and I absolutely love Frank Sinatra. I like the story, but it was difficult for me to keep my head in it. I am more of a fiction reader.
Little Black Lies
by Sharon Bolton
Unexpected (4/16/2015)
When I read the summary of this book, I thought I was going to love it! I enjoy crime thrillers, so a book about vanishing children on a remote island intrigued me. I appreciated Bolton's excellent writing skills, but the plot seemed to stray from what I expected. I did like how the book was written in different perspectives, but it was also a bit distracting and not really what I am used to reading. I am always excited to read something different from my usual and Little Black Lies was definitely what I was looking for in that respect.
