Sometimes I Lie
by Alice Feeney
Page Turner (11/11/2017)
This was one of those books where I kept telling myself "just one more chapter." The many plot twists kept me guessing until the very end. I really enjoyed how the author used the present, past, and childhood of the main character to give us insight into the truth behind the mystery. Definitely a fast read!
Happiness: The Crooked Little Road to Semi-Ever After
by Heather Harpham
Happiness by Heather Harpham (5/31/2017)
I write this review through eyes that are still blurry with tears. This memoir was in incredible, emotional roller coaster that I could not put down. I had to know what would happen to Gracie and to their family. I became fully vested in their story, wanting to will the outcome in a certain way, knowing that this was not a work of fiction. I was reminded of the strength and innate sweetness all children possess, as well as the importance of family and friends as a support system. I applaud Ms. Harpham for sharing her story, and her family, with readers everywhere.
