Daughter of the Reich: A Novel
by Louise Fein
Disappointed (4/8/2020)
I love books that deal with the history of WWII and the Nazi's. Unfortunately, this wasn't one that I enjoyed. I found it to be to long and honestly, tedious and boring to read.
The Last Collection: A Novel of Elsa Schiaparelli and Coco Chanel
by Jeanne Mackin
Lots of interesting history in this story (3/19/2019)
I wasn't sure what to expect with this story as I am not a "high" fashion person and honestly had never heard of Elsa Schiaparelli. It was very interesting! There is a lot of history about the two designers and their years long feud, along with WWII and their ties to the Nazi's and different political parties at the time. It was a good read!
The Last Romantics
by Tara Conklin
I love this book! (12/5/2018)
I enjoyed every page of this book! I loved following the lives of these 4 siblings from their early childhood into their adulthood. It's interesting to watch the different relationships develop between the siblings and to see how the different decisions they all make affect their current and future lives. I highly recommend this book.
The Care and Feeding of Ravenously Hungry Girls
by Anissa Gray
Very Enjoyable Book (10/24/2018)
I liked this book much more than I expected too! It's a story of four siblings and the fallout after one of them is imprisoned and the rest are left caring for her two teenage daughters. The story flows from one character to another while learning about their present and their past. Their are characters you care about, characters you feel sorry for and characters that are easy to be angry at. I highly recommend this book!
The Devoted

Just did nothing for me (6/4/2018)
I just could not get into this book. I didn't care about or connect with any of the characters. I thought the storyline was boring right from the start. I tried several times to read this, but it was a struggle every time.
