The Paris Hours: A Novel
by Alex George
4 Characters - 1 Day (4/19/2020)
This book is billed as taking place in one day. While it does build up to an event on a specific day, half of the book is flashbacks getting us to the day. There are a lot of characters and jumping around and French names, making it hard to keep track. I think the 4 characters are: Painter, Puppet Master, Writer, Mother.
D-Day Girls: The Spies Who Armed the Resistance, Sabotaged the Nazis, and Helped Win World War II
by Sarah Rose
Women of the Resistance (4/21/2019)
D-Day girls appeals to anyone interested in WW2, women's war efforts, and anyone interested in reading about unsung war heroes. Women in the Resistance were many and their actions far-reaching. A good read with some uncommon stories.
Our House
by Louise Candlish
An intriguing crime? Or a Misunderstanding? (6/23/2018)
Fi, upon arriving home, finds another family moving into her house. The mystery must unravel from there. Is there a mistake or has her house been stolen out from under her? Very intriguing plot with a few twists and turns throughout. I enjoyed how it unfolded between Fi and Bram's statements and current day narrative.
