The Woman's Hour: The Great Fight to Win the Vote
by Elaine Weiss
Missing Information? (8/1/2018)
I don't see where it describes that the Democrats of the day didn't want to give women the right to vote. Woodrow Wilson, in fact, was against it. Arrested the likes of Alice Paul, etc.

The 19th amendment made it across the finish line with Republicans voting yes, on the right to vote. Very few Democrats voted in favor of that right. Just as with the 13, 14 and 15th amendments. Thought that I would add that since Elaine Weiss mentioned Jim Crow laws (Democrats again). In fact the Dems needed to find a way to wrest that triumph away from the Republicans. Which they seem to have done successfully. I guess that is the result of faulty education or women working against their best interests.

Also, the suffragettes were pro-life. I believe that it was Elizabeth Cady Stanton who stated that: "As we are not the property of our husbands, our children are not our property either." Paraphrase, but I believe accurate fairly accurate.

I hope that the film does justice to the TRUTH, and is not a Democratic whitewash.
