The Sun Down Motel
by Simone St. James
Creepy (12/3/2019)
I found this story to be a mix of a ghost story mixed with a mystery. It started off really strong and keep me interested, but the middle lagged a bit with a lot of extra detail that I could have skipped. Over all I enjoyed the story and the twist at the end.
The Lost Man
by Jane Harper
Beautiful Setting (11/7/2018)
This book was a page-turner from the start. The author beautifully depicts the outback, her descriptions made me feel I was there. But the story moved along too slowly for me, and I was a bit disappointed with the ending.
Caught in the Revolution: Petrograd, Russia, 1917 - A World on the Edge
by Helen Rappaport
Thrilling (11/14/2016)
The author presented a comprehensive view of the Russian Revolution. This book depicted the tragedy for the Russian people and for those who were brutalized by it. It brought to life the fear and realization of the brutality forces at work behind the revolution.
