Toby Alone
by Timothee De Fombelle
Awesome book for my class (11/22/2018)
This series is must read for my 5th grade class. The story has it all. There is action and suspense while Toby is running from his entire world. There is the love story between many of the characters and is very easy to relate to everyday life. Today’s fathers research teaches about tree systems and how we need to take care of our world in order to prosper and be happy. I use the book to teach story elements, conflicts, and many math lessons. Toby being 1.5mm tall allows students to imagine nature from a much more exciting perspective. I’m love this book and plan on reading it dozens more times to my future students.
