The Time In Between: A Novel
by Maria Duenas
Fine, In Between (4/10/2019)
Honestly didn’t finish this book. It’s not bad, but it follows a pretty standard pattern where the protagonist thinks she can’t do something, then overcomes her fear and does it anyway. It got repetitive. The prose was mediocre, though that could have been the translation. There were a few words that seemed misplaced. It’s a light, easy read, and I think the biggest mistake the author made was making the book too long.
