The Labyrinth of the Spirits: A Cemetery of Forgotten Books Novel
by Carlos Ruiz Zafon
An Exceptional Book (8/20/2019)
There are so few well crafted and well written novels which is the sole reason I am offering my opinion.

I enjoy reading internationally written mysteries translated into English. When I read The Shadow of the Wind after it debuted, I was transported completely into the world of 1950s Barcelona. The sights, sounds, architecture, all of it.
And the family of Sempere & Sons bookstore of which young Daniel is introduced to the Cemetery of Lost Books by his beloved father.

Now, three books later is the truly "colossal achievement" of Zafon. To elaborate more would not do justice to this book. It is a visual and visceral ride that has twists and turns which intrigued me from page one. This is one book you will not want to put down. Bravo, Mr. Zafon! Well done.
