This is a very good book. A quick read and held my interest until the very end. I liked the story and the characters. It opened up an area that I was not aware of before. I would like to read additional books by this author.
Good Husbands: A Novel

I did like this book but with reservations. I feel that the rape committed by the husbands was at another time in their life and that the wives treated it much like it just happened yesterday. I am not condoning their actions but to completely destroy their families was too harsh a reaction.

Excellent book, I always love stories about the Romanov Family and found this to be one of the best I have read. I liked how it went back and forth in the times of their lives.

The Last Train to Key West

I have been a fan of Chanel Cleeton since reading Next Year In Havana and When We Left Cuba. This book was even better than I had hoped. Being a Florida resident I have been thru several hurricanes and the description of this one took me straight back to those days. Each of the three women's story was a story in it's self but was drawn together in an excellent way. I can only say read this book! You won't be sorry!

This is one of those books I truly needed to time to digest before I could even begin my review. The characters are interesting and the plot very clever. It should also be noted this is a mystery and a ghost story combined. Therefore one must be rather open minded to enjoy the story of two time periods, and two main characters. Viv's story takes place in 1982 and her niece Carly in 2017. The mystery of what happened to her Aunt Viv who disappeared in 1982 has always haunted Carly who goes hunting for answers to the family secret of what happened to her aunt and finds more than expected ! If you enjoy a good ghost story you will like this book.
Cartier's Hope: A Novel

M. J. Rose once again, has written an attention keeping historical mystery. Set in Gilded Age New York with the infamous Hope diamond and it's legends and curses forming an intriguing story. There is also mystery and romance with a journalist heroine. Best of all is the shocking twist ending that you don't see coming. This is a must read for all M. J. Rose fans.
