I was thrilled to be chosen to review this book. I've read everything by Jane Harper and she never disappoints. She always keeps me interested till the very end. What I love about this book, is you don't have to have necessarily read the other Falk books. I keep reading that this is the last book in the trilogy. But, I'm hopeful based on the ending I read there is room for Aaron Falk's return.

Oh my goodness! Seriously, one of the best plot twisters ever. I haven't read Samantha Downing's debut My Lovely Wife, but I will now. This book had so many twists and turns, my head was spinning, and I couldn't put it down. Secrets, lies, murder among siblings taking a road trip that they had reluctantly taken with their grandfather years before all for his fortune and to scatter his ashes. I usually have a sense of how things might end in a twisty plot, but I was clueless with this one. It was an amazing ending that I wasn't expecting. Get this book as soon as it comes out. I enjoyed reading this book about Grace Kelly, but I wasn't enamored with it. It started slow for me. I felt the writing was a bit stiff. I appreciated the authors honesty up front about it being a work of fiction and that she added some characters to the story. When you read from that aspect, it's just an enjoyable story about royalty. If it taught me one thing, it's that the grass isn't always greener on the other side. Living in the public eye constantly cannot be easy at all, and it's clear that Grace was lonely. I would give this book to a friend to ready with the caveat that it's fiction.

While I enjoyed this book, I have to say that it started out very slow. I had a hard time getting into it at first and unfortunately, I really didn't like Emmy at first. I think I was annoyed by her naive nature. There was so much going on, but by the end I felt the author tied it together well. I would definitely recommend it to a book club, as I think there are several topics that would make good conversation.

Reeve LeClaire seems like a typical twenty-two year old girl, but she is anything but normal. Ten years earlier, she was kidnapped and held captive. After a lucky escape, she's spent the last six years trying to rebuild her life. But when her therapist asks her to help another girl rescued from a similar situation, Reeve realizes she may not simply need to mentor this young victim. She learns that there is still a predator that hasn't been found. This book is a definite page turner that I found hard to put down. And, if I had to, I was still thinking about the characters and what was coming next. The story is played out from Reeve's point of view as well as the predators. We don't find out who the predator really is until the last pages. I will definitely recommend this book to friends.
