Lords of Finance: The Bankers Who Broke the World
by Liaquat Ahamed
Tremendous and Fascinating Inside look (4/10/2020)
This book was a total eye opener into the struggles of these 4 bankers to attempt to keep the financial system of the world functioning during and after WW1 right up to and into the depression of the ‘30’s. What it did for me was to confirm that these were extremely well meaning men, who controlled the purse strings of the 4 major economies of US, England France and Germany. Highly readable. I’ve given away a half dozen to friends.
