I enjoy reading celebrity biographies and “Robin” did not disappoint. I remember Robin’s rise to fame and viewing his show Mork & Mindy and several of his televised comedy specials. Actually I was not much of a fan of his type of comedy but I really like several of the movies that he starred in. Reading this book was a revelation of the man and his aim to entertain and be loved. It delves into his relationships with friends including Billy Crystal, his family and his fans. Behind the comedic aura was a deeper and darker side that people aren’t aware of. It also reveals his tragic last days and his death. The author was well informed about Robin’s life and presented a cohesive and interesting writing of the man. I do recommend this book.
