Morningside Heights: A Novel
by Joshua Henkin
Dementia (6/20/2021)
Although I am of the age to be thinking about Dementia/Alzheimer I wasn't wild about reading about the couple's struggles. The book started off introducing you to how they met and then married. Then you were introduced to his child from a previous marriage and then it went right into the problems and difficulty dealing with a dementia person. Not One of my favorite topics and so not a favorite book.
Appleseed
by Matt Bell
Climate change (3/11/2021)
It talks about our past and present and weaves strands of myth, science fiction, ecological warnings for North America.
Miracle Creek

Syspenseful (9/14/2020)
I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy this book but enjoying I did. The characters were so well developed and the story will have you on the edge of your seat. You will not find out the truth till the very end. The premise of the medical chamber to help cure all the different ailments of each of the patients made the reading very interesting. But when an accident occurs a d everyone wants some one to blame we all wind up in court. The legal added so much to the book. I would highly recommend.
Daughter of the Reich: A Novel
by Louise Fein
Impossible love (3/11/2020)
This is the story of Betty Heinrich, daughter of the SS officer, that lives with her parents and brother. This book describes Nazi Germany and vivid characters meticulously well. She meets and falls in love with Walter, a Jewish boy, and they plan for a future when they can live without anti-semitism. This story is based on the author's family history. It is a page turner.
American Dirt: A Novel
by Jeanine Cummins
america home of the brave (11/27/2019)
This book couldn't have been written at a more perfect time. The misunderstanding of people crossing the border into the U.S. is so unfair to the struggling people leaving their homes in fear of their lives. The story is following a mother and child coming north because they have to leave their home to survive. This book is worth the read. Highly recommend.
Fly Girls: How Five Daring Women Defied All Odds and Made Aviation History
by Keith O'Brien
Historical fiction (3/13/2019)
Very interesting period piece on courageous women and how what they did made a difference in history.
Sometimes I Lie
by Alice Feeney
A interesting twist (11/29/2017)
I enjoyed this book and found it suspenseful. I thought having the back and forth with the past and present was very well done. The twist at the end had ne going back to see if there were any clues that I missed. Overall a quick read and entertaining.
The Aviator's Wife
by Melanie Benjamin
