Why is this novel titled Early Morning Riser? The symbolism or the metaphor are??? The characters and their development are mediocre, common - nothing really inspirational about them except their kindness to Jimmy - - and really, the only way for happiness to flee a life is if the character chooses it to do so - Is that what Jane has chosen? and if so, why? All of Jane's experiences have led to "maybe the harshness would fade" and "then she could go on." And the point is?
